Nice diving, quite shallow but lot's of marine life. The town is Portugese colonial style with nice atmosphere. The dive operator was Adrenalina Diving.

hi Micha, Brazil is ok without speaking Portuguese, in the touristic places, like Paraty, Rio, etc... English is spoken but the people are very friendly. Shallow diving, I mean maximum 15 meters deep. The dive spots are at the end of the bay so you need a boat. Snorkeling can be done too, I guess. Further along the coast, the whole area is part of Serra do Bocaina National Park, there are very nice bays where you can snorkel. There are also hiking trails in the Park.
