When Is the Best Time
Richelieu Rock is a seamount in the Andaman Sea and close to the Surin Islands. The most popular way you can reach it is via a liveaboard. They leave from Phuket or Khao Lak. The best months are from November to April. Around the end of the drier season, whalesharks or manta rays can be spotted.

Richelieu Rock is a seamount rising from the seafloor and its home to a huge amount of sea life. There are two summits and around these schooling fish are abundant. You can dive to the foot of the seamount where you can spot cuttlefish, rays or seahorses. It's almost always on the itinerary of the liveaboards diving the Surin and Similan Islands and always an enigmatic dive.
