When Is the Best Time
The best time to enjoy this beach is in the summer.
After a small walk of about 4 and a half-mile on a path leading from the gravel car park at the hamlet of Blairmore onto the Beach, we were met by the sound of the Sea and Birdlife before we actually saw the Sands. Then you meet the beautiful Dunes and the stretch of beach that seems to go on forever, as you look over to the left of the beach then you will see a Sea stack called Am Buachaille (The Herdsman).
It’s hard to describe how I felt when I first saw it, it was overwhelming and breathtaking, I just thought this part of unspoiled Scotland is a true beauty to set your eyes upon, it’s an image I will never forget and I will be going back again next year for more of the same.
