When Is the Best Time
Many whales and dolphins are year-round in the Canary Islands. Best weather from April to October, shoulder season April-June and September-October are less hot and crowded.

La Palma is one of the few places in the world where you can spot Blainville’s Beaked Whale. Other sightings on this trip included striped dolphins, pilot whales, sperm whales, and more. The operator is called the same name as their boat Fancy II. Weather is of course a factor because a flat sea surface is perfect for spotting ocean life.
