Weather Overview
As Las Vegas is located in the Mojave Desert, Nevada, expect to receive high temperatures during June, and slightly cooler evenings and mornings, once the sun has set or not risen yet.
The weather during June in Las Vegas is hot and sunny. The daily average maximum temperatures increase throughout the month ranging from 94°F (34°C) to 103°F (39°C). The humidity is low and it rarely rains with an average of 0.1 inches.
Average high temperatures during June:

💡 Temperatures at the beginning of June are considerably cooler than later in June. If you do not enjoy the heat should we suggest visiting during early June to avoid the high temperatures.
Expect a constant supply of sunshine during June, with average high temperatures of around 99°F(38°C). There is no rain expected and little to no breeze so gets quite dry during the day.

💡 If you’ve rented a car to get around or brought your own, try to find shaded parking in June. Additionally, use a sunshade for the windshield, and roll all the windows down to let the heat out when you first get in. Be aware that you can be badly burned by a seat buckle if you’re not careful!
Tip: Hailing rideshare or taxi can be much more comfortable since you’ll be getting into an already air-conditioned car.

If an anti-theft bag is not an option for you, bring a bag you can securely strap across your chest or around your waist with the opening in your line of vision, like a satchel or fanny pack.

While the weather is void of humidity and stickiness, wearing tight denim will still feel like it’s suffocating your skin in the dry heat.

Jeans are the right move at nighttime or if you plan on staying indoors for most of the day, like in restaurants or casinos where the air conditioning can get pretty cold. Otherwise, try to let your legs get some air.

Tip: If you plan to wear high heels in the evening, bring a thick pair of socks in your bag. Since you likely won’t have a pair of sandals in your clutch for your dinner outfit, this will give your feet a break and keep you from walking around the Vegas streets or casinos barefoot.

Even though it will protect your skin, it might not be comfortable to wear long sleeves in the heat. At the very least, keep a hat and sunglasses on and wear plenty of sunscreen.
Tip: A pair of chic sunglasses can elevate any outfit. For hats, think stylish yet practical—maybe a cute fedora or a wide-brimmed hat for added sun protection. If you want to keep it more casual, a baseball cap can work just fine.
The desert sun will feel very strong, so make sure you’re wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher for any extended outdoor activity.

Bring extra hair ties: While the desert heat might not feel so bad because of the lack of humidity, it can still be unbearable, especially if you have long or thick hair.
I broke a scrunchie in the summer when I was walking around in Vegas, and if I didn’t have an extra one in my bag, it would have been a really frustrating day.
If you’re really in a pinch, you can buy some at a nearby shop, but I’d be wary of overcharging and just remember to pack more than one!
Lotion, lotion, lotion: Even though you’ll be sweating, the dry air will still suck all the moisture from your skin. Keep lotion in your bag and put on as much as you can, especially after a day of sweating or swimming in your hotel pool.
I don’t have particularly dry skin, but the Vegas weather always dries out my hands no matter what I do in the summer and winter. If you don’t like the feeling of lotion or don’t want to apply it during the day, invest in a thick cream to put on your skin at night to let it absorb some moisture.
Stay in the shade: Bring a small portable umbrella with you whether you’re lounging by the pool or walking down the Strip! Even with sunscreen and a hat, I always feel like the summer sun in Las Vegas is going to bake my skin off.
